| Customer Reviews: Average Rating: Rating : - Durable & sensor has a wide angle I've used one of these great little lights for at least two years now, maybe more, outside. It has survived through a lot of storms and frigid temps.
Though I got the first one from a different source, I just bought two more from ANTonline here at AMAZON, and they're just as trusty and great (and cost me much less, this time!).
I use rechargeable C batteries in it, though I have also used regular C batteries. (I've had to recharge the batteries about once a month, so far.)
Once after a heavy rainstorm, I had to open it up and let it dry out -- due to not having screwed it shut just right in the first place, I think. But, it did dry out! Then I simply put the batteries back in and it worked fine again.
Usually, if there's anything suddenly odd about the light, it just means that the batteries need to be replaced or charged up.
Solar lights didn't work for me -- not enough steady sunlight where I'd use them. The MAXSA light is just what we need to light a path for our feet at night, and has a surprisingly wide angle of 'vision.'
It's not as bright and strong as some lights that you'd hook up electrically, but, for various reasons, I wasn't able to use an electric light, and this little light works out very well. + See Full Customer Review | |
