Rating : - Lovely Even When It Isnt Working
On the plus side: (1) This birdbath is quite lovely to look at and very relaxing to listen to. (2) The birds seem to enjoy it as much as I do. I never saw birds before and now doves and smaller birds have daily pool parties out there. (3) It was incredibly easy to put together. (4) I enjoy it so much that I bought a second one for my daughter. On the negative side: (1) It's so sensitive to the sun that it doesnt work unless the sun is shining directly on the solar panel. That means it doesnt work in the early morning or late afternoon. It stops working if a cloud passes in front of the sun or if someone walks up to look at it and casts a shadow on it. It's so lovely that I dont mind its not working most of the time, though. (2) It needs to be filled often. I dont think it leaks (I havent seen water on the patio pavers) so I presume the water just evaporates quickly because the pump works only a few hours each day.

The negatives are not enough to rate this birdbath any less than a 5, however, and I'd highly recommend this product to anyone. Be sure to buy it on Amazon.com because it's up to $50 cheaper here than anywhere else.
